1.A topographic profile is the graphic representation of the relief of an area, obtained by cutting transversely the contour lines of a topographic map.
2. The line that I drew goes from "Estaca de Bares" to Ebro Delta passing over:
- Galician Massif
- Cantabrian Range
- North Sub-Plateau
- Iberian System
- Ebro Depression
The Cantabrian Range is characterized by tall and pronunciated mountains like Torre Cerredo (2650 m). The most important sierra is Picos de Europa.
My line is so long so it also goes over the North Sub-Plateau which was also formed in the Cenozoic Era but this zone was 1 of the 2 low parts. The average height is over the 800 metres above sea level, higher than the South Sub-Plateau.
The Iberian System is another geographical accident but not exactly a range,it is a step that separates the plateau from the Guadalquivir and Ebro Valley. The Iberian System is a Surrounding Range of the plateau and it is divided in two sectors, "Picos de Urbión" and the Outer Branch or "Aragonesa". The highest mountains are in "Picos de Urbión" and it´s main pikes are Urbión and Moncayo. It is very big so it has a lot of sierras, some of them are "Sierra de la Demanda", and "Sierra de Albarracín".
In the Outer Branch the main sierras are "Javalambre" and "Gúdar".
The last geographical accident is the Ebro Depression. It was formed in the Alpine Orogeny, paralel to the Pyrenees, is one of the two depressions of the Iberian Peninsula, the other is the Guadalquivir Depression.
And my line finishes in the Mediterranean Sea. I hope you like it. :)

Antonio, avoid numbers and bullet points before the paragraphs. This is an essay, not a graphic organizer. For some reason, there is a huge blank space at the end of the text. Revise that.
ResponderEliminarThe content of the analysis is good but we need to review the style of your writing.
It's Northern or Southern Sub-Plateau.
